Es muy satisfactorio para nosotros compartirles todas las experiencias del viaje Misionero a Mitú (Vaupés), realizado entre el 24 al 29 de Marzo.
Ya en la sala de espera del Aeropuerto Vanguardia de Villavicencio, estábamos orando, muy confiados en Dios, que pudiéramos realizar el viaje a Mitú, pues el mal tiempo tenía cerrados los aeropuertos y no sabíamos si nuestro vuelo se realizaría o por el contrario se cancelaria como en los días anteriores.
Nosotros no sabíamos que los estudiantes indígenas que participarían de nuestro curso, estaban también varados en los ríos y caminos por el mismo asunto: LAS TORRENCIALES LLUVIAS EN TODO EL SURORIENTE DE COLOMBIA. Los estudiantes
Tuvieron largas jornadas hasta de tres días, remando por el río en sus pequeñas canoas, para poder llegar al curso programado.
Finalmente, Dios, quien nos había dado el sentir que bendeciría nuestro viaje, nos dio la posibilidad de viajar, y poder cumplir el propósito por el cual habíamos emprendido nuestro viaje.
Y así fue como el Pastor Fabio Cano y algunos de los hermanos de la Iglesia de Mitú, vinieron para recibirnos el en aeropuerto y allí se inició nuestra gran aventura para el Señor y con el Señor.
Gracias al servicio de MOTOTAXI, pronto estuvimos en las calles de Mitú rumbo a la Iglesia Betania de la Reforma “LOS DEL CAMINO”, en las puras riveras del Río Vaupés.
LUIS FELIPE Y JULIA AMPARO ACEVEDO, son líderes en la Iglesia Betania de Reforma LABRANZA DE DIOS de Villavicencio (Meta), y para esta ocasión eran nuestros compañeros de viaje. Ellos respaldan el ministerio del Pastor Fabio Cano en Mitú, y trabajan en este ministerio con mucho amor, manteniendo viva la llama de misiones en la iglesia. Durante nuestro viaje misionero estuvieron pendientes de todos los detalles logísticos del evento y nos cuidaron muy bien y los estudiantes indígenas y sus familias también recibieron todo su amoroso cuidado durante el curso de instrucción teológica.
Estamos muy contentos y agradecidos del Señor, porque parece que el plan misionero de hace más de 30 años, en el mismo territorio del Vaupés, dónde Dios nos dio la visión y el amor por misiones, está llegando a sus metas…IGLESIAS CON VISIÓN MISIONERA.
La Iglesia Betania de la Reforma Labranza de Dios en Villavicencio, está aprendiendo muy rápidamente, como ofrendar y sostener pastores y misioneros, están experimentando en sus vidas lo que significa HACER TESOROS PARA EL CIELO. La iglesia pagó los costos de los tiquetes míos y de Bélgica, todos los gastos de manutención y todos los gastos del curso en general. Además enviaron ofrendas para Fabio y mucha ropa para los estudiantes indígenas.
Por otra parte, la iglesia está aprendiendo a ser una iglesia de oración. De tal manera que suplica el socorro del Señor, para interceder los unos por los otros, por sus pastores y misioneros, como también por la provisión amorosa del Señor para dar más y más, pues sin la gracia de Dios, esto es imposible.
A partir de las anteriores fotografías ilustramos los diferentes eventos durante nuestra estancia en Mitú, como también lo que sucedió en el culto dominical del pasado 27 de marzo.
Además de la adoración y la proclamación de la Palabra, dos de nuestros estudiantes se unieron en matrimonio delante del Señor, celebramos la santa Cena y tuvimos momentos preciosos de compañerismo y comunión cristiana.
Es causa de profundo gozo ver como las vidas de muchas personas son milagrosamente transformadas por la obra poderosa del Señor por medio de su bendito evangelio. La obra en Mitú está creciendo y nuestro amado Hijo en el Señor FABIO CANO, ha hecho contacto con miembros de la etnia de los curripacos y con un joven Carapana, quien ha mostrado mucho interés en aspectos espirituales. No sabemos lo que Dios va a hacer entre nosotros en esta región del país tan necesitada de Dios.
Ahora a continuación, nuestros Estudiantes. Personas dedicadas, llenas de deseos sinceros de aprender. Sus largas jornadas de trabajo para llegar al curso, testifican de su profundo deseo de conocer Las Escrituras de Dios y por ende a la Santa Trinidad. Valió La pena.

It is with great satisfaction that we share with you the experiences we had during the mission trip to Mitú,(Vaupés), from March 24-29.
We prayed while we waited at the Vanguardia Airport in Villavicencio, trusting that God would allow us to reach Mitú. Bad weather had all airports shut down, and we had no idea if our flight would take off or be cancelled as had happened during the last few days.
We didn’t know that the Indian students who were to participate in our course, were also stranded on the rivers and byways due to the same TORENTIAL RAINS IN THE ENTIRE SOUTHWEST REGION OF COLOMBIA. The students had travelled for up to three days, rowing their small canoes, in order to arrive in Mitú to take our class.
Finally, God, who had given us the understanding that he would bless our trip, allowed us to travel, and we were able to accomplish our goal.
Pastor Fabio Cano and some of the brothers from the Mitú Church, received us at the airport, and that is where we started our great adventure with the Lord and for the Lord.
By MOTOTAXI we were soon on the streets of Mitú en route to the Reformed Bethany Church “LOS DEL CAMINO”, on the river bank of the Vaupés River.
LUIS FELIPE AND JULIA AMPARO ACEVEDO (Last picture on page 3), are leaders of the Reformed Bethany Church LABRANZA DE DIOS in Villavicencio (Meta), and accompanied us on this trip. They support the ministry of Pastor Fabio Cano in Mitú, maintaining the vision for missions in the church. During our mission trip they were always in charge of all the logistics of the event and lovingly cared for the Indian students and their families during the theological training.
We are very happy and thankful to the Lord because after dreaming about genuine missions outreach for more than 30 years, it is finally becoming a reality. This dream began in the very same Vaupés territory where God initially gave us a vision for …CHURCHES WITH A VISION FOR MISSIONS.
The Reformed Bethany Chruch Labranza de Dios in Villavicencio, is learning quickly how to give and support pastors and missionaries, and are experiencing what it is to HAVE TREASURES IN HEAVEN. The church paid for the airline tickets for me and Bélgica, as well as all related expenses with the course. Besides, they also sent offerings for Fabio as well as a lot of clothing for the Indian students.
The church is learning how to be a praying church. They plead the Lord for help, they intercede for one another, for their pastors and missionaries, and for God’s provision so that they can give more and more, because without God’s grace, it is impossible.
With these pictures, we wish to share with you the different events we were involved in during our stay in Mitú, as well as what happened during the Sunday service on March 27th.
Besides worship and preaching, two of our students contracted marriage before the Lord. We held a communion service and had moments of precious fellowship with each other.
It is a great joy to see the lives of many individuals miraculously transformed by the power of God and the góspel message. The work in Mitú is growing and our beloved son in the Lord FABIO CANO, has contacted ethnic members of the Curripaco tribe and one Carapana youth who have demonstrated interest in spiritual things. We don’t know what the Lord will do among us in this very needy part of the country.
Following are our students who are dedicated and full of sincere desire to learn. Their difficult trek to arrive for the course is a testimony of their deep desire to learn the Scriptures and the Holy Trinity. It was well worth it.
