El pasado fin de semana, Agosto 13-16, se llevó a cabo el segundo congreso nacional de Damas Evangélicas Reformadas y el encuentro del Presbiterio, con pastores y líderes de las iglesias plantadas por el Ministerio Betania de la Reforma de Colombia.
Asistieron 115 personas: 81 damas y 34 caballeros y la iglesia Betania de la Reforma, dio un maravilloso testimonio de amor, en la forma como organizó, soportó y ejecutó el proyecto. Fue una BENDICIÓN extraordinaria, tanto para nuestros hermanos huéspedes, como para nosotros los anfitriones. Los hermanos y hermanas de la iglesia, trabajaron con fuerza y dedicación hospedándolos y tratándolos con todo el amor y la consideración que el Señor puso en sus corazones. Este evento, fue muy significativo para mí, para Bélgica y toda la congregación.
El domingo 15 de agosto, cuando Leonel pudo presidir el Servicio de Ordenación con sus discípulos y los discípulos de los discípulos, sentimos la misericordiosa deferencia del Señor, animándonos y consolándonos por su gracia y amor. Nosotros tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso, en el que alabamos al Señor con todo nuestro corazón y le dimos gracias.
Ustedes, queridos hermanos que oran, donan y nos muestran su amor y su amistad, tienen parte en este ministerio que ha empezado a crecer por la gracia de Dios. Las luchas han sido muchas, porque nos salimos de cualquier esquema conocido y nos colocamos en una posición de pureza Evangélica y Escritural y ha rendido dividendos estupendos por la Misericordia y el amor de Dios y sólo por eso. ¡¡Gracias a Dios.!! El Señor, ha honrado una vez más el lema: Sólo Escritura, Sola Gracia, Sola Fe. El cristianismo evangélico Bibliocéntrico está creciendo en forma sorprendente en el país. Una vez más Gracias al Señor.
Queremos compartirles el gozo que me ha producido, la conformación del Presbiterio Reformado del Sur de Colombia, que asocia los pastores del Ministerio Betania de la Reforma (NEM Y MNC), EN Colombia. En forma muy especial, descubrimos que todos estamos ubicados en el sur del país. La siguiente foto les mostrará los integrantes fundadores de este presbiterio.
Las perspectivas del trabajo en Cali, la capital del departamento del valle del Cauca, son muy promisorias. El crecimiento en Villavicencio también se vislumbra, un poco más lento pero seguro y con la bendición del Señor.
El Pastor Fabio Guillermo Cano, trabajará en Mitú para plantar una iglesia en esa ciudad. Ya cuenta con 12 contactos y a la llegada a esa ciudad el próximo 29 de agosto de 2010, iniciará su trabajo. También fundará el centro de Capacitación Teológico, para pastores Indígenas y para líderes de las iglesias. Es nuestro deseo plantar, además, por lo menos 3 iglesias más entre los indígenas Cubeos: Una en el río Vaupés medio, otra en el Río Cuduiarí y otra en el Río Querarí y muy seguramente el Señor nos dará más.
Como Ustedes pueden darse cuenta, hemos tenido en estas dos últimas semanas, muchas y tremendas bendiciones del Señor, les invitamos de nuevo, a alegrase con nosotros y a darle gracias a Dios por todo lo que está sucediendo entre nosotros.
Los ministerios de la MNC (NEM) en Colombia, continúan marchando y progresando por la gracia de Dios. Oren mucho por el Programa Radial, el programa de Seminario, el Instituto Bíblico, las Células de Estudio Bíblico y oración y por la escuela de de líderes y discipulado.
Finalmente, demos gracias a Dios juntos, por cuanto las Iglesias Betania de la Reforma en Colombia, cuentan en este momento con Personería Jurídica, es decir, han sido reconocidas legalmente por el Gobierno Colombiano.
La familia se encuentra muy bien gracias a Dios. Gigliola, después de terminar su especialidad como Médico de Familia, está trabajando fuertemente en Bogotá. Claudia Esther, acaba de terminar su posgrado en Gerencia de Servicios hospitalarios y al igual que su hermana trabajando en la capital. Pero fieles al Señor y caminando en sus pasos, gracias a Él y su fidelidad. Oren mucho por ellas, para que encuentren la mejor forma de servir al Señor con sus profesiones y para que este deseo crezca en ellas cada día más, hasta que vean los frutos de su llamado. También para que el Señor les provea esposos como su corazón.

Last weekend, August 13-16, we held the second national congress for the Reformed Evangelical ladies as well as the gathering of the Presbyter, with pastors and leaders of the churches planted by the Reformed Bethany Ministry of Colombia.
We had an attendance of 115: 81 ladies and 34 men. The Bethany Reformed church gave a marvelous testimony of love in the way it organized, supported and executed the event. It was an EXTRAORDINARY blessing for the visitors who were hosted as well as for us the hosts. The church members worked with dedication, hosting them in love and the consideration God put on their hearts. This event was of great significance for me, for Belgica and for the entire congregation.
On Sunday, August 15, when Leonel presided over the Ordination Service with his disciples and those they in turn had discipled, we experienced God’s mercy, encouraging us and comforting us with his grace and love. It was a wonderful time of worship as we thanked him with all our hearts.
You, our dear brothers and sisters, who pray, give and demonstrate your love and friendship toward us, have a part in this ministry which has by God’s grace, begun to grow. The struggles have been many because we left behind all known strategies and positioned ourselves in Evangelical and Scriptural purity. It has paid off stupendously only by God’s mercy and love. Praise the Lord!!! God has once again honored the motto: Only Scripture, Only Grace, Only Faith. Bible-centered evangelical Christianity is growing in an amazing way in our country. Again, thank you Lord!
We want to share with you our joy in the formation of the Presbyter of the Reformed Churches of Southern Colombia. It associates the pastors of the Ministry of the NEM and MNC in Colombia. In a very special way we discovered that we were all settled in the southern part of the country. The following picture will show the founders of this presbyter.
The growth of the work in Cali, the capital of the department of the Cauca Valley, is very promising. The growth in Villavicencio is also. on the rise, slowly but steadily, with God’s blessing.
Pastor Fabio Guillermo Cano will plant a church in the city of Mitu. He now has 12 contacts and when he arrives in Mitu on August 29, 2010, he will begin to work. He will also start a Theological Training Center in that city for Indian pastors and church leaders. Our desire is to plant three other churches among the Cubeo Indians: One in the Vaupes Medio, another in the Cudulari River area, and another in the Querari River area. Surely the Lord will grant us more.
As you can appreciate, in these past few weeks we have had many and great blessings from the Lord. Rejoice with us and thank God for what he is doing among us.
The ministries of MNC (NEM) in Colombia, continue to move ahead in growth by God’s grace. Pray for the Radio Program, the Seminary Program, the Bible School, the Bible Study cell groups and for the school for leaders and disciples.
Finally, lets thank God together that the Bethany Reformed Churches of Colombia have been legally recognized by the Colombian Government.
Our family is well, thank the Lord. Gigliola, after completing her specialty as Family Doctor, is working hard in Bogota. Claudia Esther has just finished a post grad degree in Hospital Administration, and is also working in Bogota. They love the Lord and praise God for His faithfulness. Pray for them, that they may find the best way to serve God with their professions, and that this desire may continue to grow in them until they see the fruit of their calling. Please pray that God will grant them husbands according to the desires of their hearts.
