Seguimos en el Vaupés

Una vez más Dios nos ha concedido la gracia y el privilegio de servir en el amado Vaupés.  En Mitú, su capital, nos reunimos cerca de 12 líderes potenciales y sus familias.  Los que antes eran 3 ahora se han multiplicado por cuatro y Dios, una vez más, nos deja perplejos con la forma en que Él obra.

No obstante, al lado de la gran necesidad humana del Evangelio de Cristo, existen muchas necesidades en estos lugares apartados de Colombia. La terrible corrupción en el país no permite que llegue la adecuada atención a la infancia, la adolescencia, a las madres, y en general a toda la población.  Las necesidades en nutrición, salud, educación, son monstruosas y sólo me refiero a las necesidades extrictamente básicas.

¿Qué podemos hacer?  Orar, en primer lugar. En segundo lugar, organizarnos  para que podamos llegar con ayuda real a estas tierras y que la iglesia lleve al vaupés: El evangelio, el Reino de Dios, el amor cristiano y la solidaridad del cuerpo de Cristo.

Necesitamos: Médicos, odontólogos, nutricionistas, alimentos, vitaminas, medicinas, ropa, útiles escolares, maestros y buenas escuelas.

We continue work in the Vaupés

Once again God has granted us the grace and privilege of serving Him in our beloved Vaupés.  In Mitú, its capital, some 12 potential leaders and their families met with us.  What used to be 3 has now multiplied by 4.  Once again God amazes us with how He works. 

Nevertheless, along with the great human need for the gospel of Christ, there are many other needs in these remote areas of Colombia.  The terrible corruption in the country does not allow adequate attention for infants, adolescents, mothers, and the population in general.  The needs of nutrition,  health and education are astronomical, and I am only referring to the most basic needs. 

What can we do?  First of all we can pray.  Secondly, we can organize ourselves so that we can get to these areas with real help so that the church can bless the Vaupés with:  The gospel, the Kingdom of God, Christian love and solidarity as the body of Christ. 

We need medical doctors, dentists, nutritionists, food, vitamins, medicine, clothing, school supplies, teachers, and good schools. 

 We covet your prayers, interest and generous response.
